The primary goals for AOSS IT staff are to provide desktop (linux, Macintosh, Windows operating systems) and classroom support to AOSS department faculty and staff.
As part of this mission, IT security, equipment recommendations, software and hardware consultations, general hardware installation/repair, hard drive backups, and operating system and software installation are supported. AOSS IT staff work with the CAEN, ITCS, and ITSS to utilize as many 'free' and cost-saving solutions as possible while striving to maintain quality customer service to support and enhance the quality of education and research at AOSS.
