Rooftop Research
Accidents and Injuries
In case of an accident or injury there is required reporting. For additional details, visit the Emergencies section of our website.
Use of and entry onto the Roof for research purposes is contingent on the following:
- Reviewing the Roof Safety Procedures Presentation
- Securing approval of a completed Roof Research Activity Form by the Roof Committee (Frank Marsik, chair marsik@umich.edu)
- Writing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the activities to be conducted that specifically addresses safety issues
- Each person prior to going onto the roof must read, understand and sign a similar training record as seen by this sample Roof Work Safety Consent form
